Humidification Fruit and vegetables

Reduction of wastage

Problem:
Fruits and vegetables quickly looses a large part of their own weight and becomes dry and boring, this is because the dry air surrounding the groceries ”sucks” the moist out of them to become saturated. When cooling air, water from the air is removed, resulting in “drying” the groceries. This reduces the groceries durability significantly, and results in boring groceries without juice, crisp and freshness.

Solution with humidification:
A constant humidity of 95-98% ensures that the air surrounding the groceries is so saturated with water, that the moist stays inside the groceries, and are not ”sucked” out into the air. This is due to the fact that the air surrounding the groceries can not contain anymore water, and the humidity level inside the groceries is equal to the humidity level outside the groceries. This increases the durability of the groceries with up to 4 days, and reduces the weight loss with up to 80%, depending on the type of grocery.
